July 8 PHILADELPHIA, PA/LOS ANGELES, CA/LAX - SYDNEY AUSTRALIA
Sat. US Airways 8 hour flight PHL to LAX. Three, free in-flight movies, and delicious meals are provided on the 14 hour Qantas Air flight.

July 10 SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Mon. Sightseeing in capital of New South Wales. Via the commercial center head for the Domain and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, from where you enjoy a sweeping view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. See trendy Paddington, the ultra-modern Darling Harbour development, and the historic Rocks area. Proceed to King’s Cross, the city’s night life
area, and through exclusive suburbs to famous Bondi Beach.
After lunch, enjoy a comprehensive tour of the prestigious venues for the 2000 Olympics at Homebush Bay. See the Sydney International Athletic Centre, the 250 acre Bicentennial Park - venue for the Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, the Athletics Village, the Sydney International Aquatic Centre, and a guided tour of Australia Stadium.

July 11 WILDLIFE PARK/BLUE MOUNTAINS
Tues. Enjoy your full day tour of the picturesque Blue Mountains. Visit the Australian Wildlife Park where you can have your picture taken with our favorite animal, the koala. Hand-feed the kangaroos and see other Australian fauna and flora. Explore Echo point with its view of the Three Sisters, a giant rock formation towering above the Jamison Valley. Follow the scenic cliff drive to “The Edge” and view on the giant six storey Maxvision screen the film taken in the remote regions of the Blue Mountains. One may have the opportunity to ride the scenic Skyway soaring more than 900 feet over Cox’s Crossing (own expense).
Evening rehearsal is scheduled.

July 12 OPERA HOUSE/ SYDNEY HARBOR CRUISE WILLOUGHBY
Wed. Visit the Opera House for a guided tour, followed by a cruise on beautiful Sydney Harbour. Entertainment will be provided by the two DVSB combos. We travel for a music exchange program at the exclusive Willoughby Legion Club. Dinner is served after set up and rehearsal and before the concert.

July 13 PERFORMANCES: RAAF BAND/FIRST FLEET PARK
Thur... Begin the day with a invitation by the RAAF Air Command Band participate in a rehearsal of their Swing Wing stage band and a clinic for the concert band. The clinician is Tim Reynish from the Royal Music Academy, England, who will rehearse the music of Percy Granger. After lunch, a performance is scheduled at First Fleet Park located on the waterfront. Formal photos (in uniform) will be taken at the Macquarie Point with the Opera House in the background. Afternoon free to shop in the Rocks or Darling Harbour. Dinner is at Phillip's Foote, a popular eating place where one cooks his own meal over an open BBQ pit. Some may attend a performance at the Opera House.

July 14 SYDNEY TO CAIRNS
Fri. Check out of hotel and transfer to Sydney Airport for the 3
hour flight to Cairns Airport. Upon arrival, there is time to eat
lunch and shop before checking into the Palm Royale Hotel.

July 15 CAIRNS: RAINFOREST
Sat. Join the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, taking in superb views as you travel over the World Heritage rainforest to Kuranda. Visit rainforestation and join a guided Dreamtime Walk, visit the wildlife enclosure and ride aboard the unique Army Duck as it travels both on land and in the water deep into the rainforest. See the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers. Try your hand at boomerang throwing, This afternoon browse through the stalls at the Kuranda Markets before boarding the
scenic Kuranda Train for on of the world’s most spectacular rail journeys. Ride aboard the Kuranda Train as it winds its way down the mountain range, passing waterfalls, lush rainforest and through 15 man-made tunnels, to Cairns. Dinner is Italian style. Afterwards, there is time for last minute-late-night shopping.

July 16 CAIRNS: GREAT BARRIER REEF CRUISE
Sun. Cruise by high speed , air-conditioned catamaran to lovely
Beaver Cay on the Outer Barrier Reef. Choose from a
range of activities - perhaps a swim, snorkel, join the semi-submersible vessel to view the myriad of corals, giant clams, and tropical fish, or take a glass bottom boat for yet another view of this underwater world. The
Farewell Dinner, Kangaroo being the most popular choice, brings the tour to a close. A farewell gathering completes the day before packing for the long haul back the USA.

July 17 CAIRNS /LOS ANGELES, CA/PHILADELPHIA AIRPORT
Mon. 8:21 PM ARRIVAL PHL
Three, free in-flight movies, and delicious meals are provided on Qantas Air. US Airways charge for the movies from LAX to PHL, but the food is free.
