1 June 27: Philadelphia, PA/London, England
Wed. Today is departure day! You will board a wide-bodied jet a Philadelphia International Airport for your overnight flight to Heathrow Airport London, England. Complimentary meals and beverages will be served in flight.

2 June 28: London/Coventry, England: Blenheim Palace, Oxford
Thurs. A spectacular sunrise will greet you as your flight nears its destination. After clearing customs in London you will meet your tour escorts who will take you to your deluxe private motorcoaches. Then, we're off to Coventry via Oxford - the famous university town - before stopping to visit Windsor Castle and a photo stop at Sir Winston Churchill's birthplace - Blenheim Palace. In Coventry, you will check into your hotel and have time to relax and freshen up before dinner. After dinner a free evening to relax.

3 June 29: Coventry, England: Warwick Castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon:
Fri. Coventry and Cathedral
After breakfast, you will begin your morning sightseeing tour to include: a visit to Warwick Castle, then on to Stratford-Upon-Avon for a guided tour of the Stratford Theatre, Shakespeare's House and Anne Hathaway's cottage before returning to Coventry for a walking tour of this historic city and the Coventry Cathedral. Afternoon free to stroll the city on your own. After dinner a free evening.


4 June 30: Coventry, England: REHEARSAL 9-12 , CONCERT: Finham Park
Sat. After breakfast, there will be a rehearsal under the direction of Miss Bonnie Strang and Mr. Swearingen before you start your concert tour of Great Britain. You will be free to roam the city and shop at your leisure or relax with some afternoon tea after the rehearsal. After dinner an evening concert is planned at Finham Park School.

5 July 1: Coventry, England/Perth, Scotland: Manchester, Carlisle,
Sun. HOMESTAYS
An early departure from Coventry takes you north past the industrial city of Manchester and on to the lovely Lake District near Penrith. We visit the walled town of York with its magnificent Cathedral. Before entering Scotland, we will stop at Hadrin's Wall built by the Romans. Jedburgh Woolen Mills shop offers an opportunity for last minute shopping. In Edinburgh, your host family will be waiting to meet you and take you to their homes. Dinner and a free evening will be spent getting acquainted with your hosts and hostess.

6 July 2: Edinburgh, Scotland REHEARSAL CONCERT: Perth City Hall
Mon. After breakfast, A rehearsal is scheduled at Perth City Hall. Then, prepare to board your motorcoach for your sightseeing tour of Edinburgh where you will visit the mighty castle, St. Giles Cathedral, Sir Walter Scott's Memorial and Holyroodhouse (former home of Mary Queen of Scots). Dinner will be together before this evening's concert at the Perth City Hall for the host families and their guests.

7 July 3: Edinburgh, Scotland: REHEARSAL in morning, CONCERT in evening
Tues. This morning, after sharing breakfast with your hosts, an excursion to Loch Lomond and the surrounding area is planned. There will be a special stop at the Caithness glass cutting showroom and factory. We will visit Stirling Castle. In the he evening, the Leisure Centre has many water activities and pools available for your entertainment.

8 July 4: Edinburgh/Chester/Llandudno, Wales: M6, Chester
Wed. After a warm but sad farewell to your new found friends, you head south to motorway M6 past Lockerbie through the English and Scottish countryside along the Lake District before a stop at a Woolen Mill for last minute shopping before leaving Scotland. We will stop in Chester, England - namesake and sister city to Pennsylvania's city, before arriving at your destination, the seaside resort of Llandudno, Wales, located between Great Orne's Head and Little Orne's Head. A warm shower and a chance to relax awaits you after a long day before dinner this evening. After dinner, the evening is free to stroll along the Promenade of this lovely sea resort town, a favorite vacation spot for both English and Scottish travelers.

9 July 5: Llandudno, Wales CONCERT: Arcadia Theatre Thur. Free morning for relaxing, swimming, shopping, and sightseeing before the afternoon concert. Visit the Pier Head, Conwy Castle, Telford's Suspension Bridge or ride the Cabinlift - longest in Britain. The afternoon concert is at the Arcadia Theatre. After dinner, a Fourth of July celebration and Disco is planned, complete with DJ, at the St. George's Hotel.

10 July 6: Llandudno/Cardiff, Wales
Fri. After breakfast, you travel to the capital and university town of Cardiff, Wales. A short stop in Breacon is arranged for lunch. Arriving early in the afternoon at the Hotel Stakis just outside of Cardiff. After dinner, the evening will be spent in the recreation area of the hotel.

11 July 7: Cardiff, Wales
Sat. Morning excursion for five hours of shopping at a mammoth shopping complex in Cardiff. Then we travel to the Big Pit Mine where you dress in miners clothing and be lowered into the mine on a lift. After dinner, the evening will be spent in the recreation area of the hotel.

12 July 8: Cardiff, Wales CONCERT: Leisure Centre
Sun. Morning sightseeing tour of the capital of Wales to include Cardiff Castle, the capitol, various castles, folk museum, etc. Time to stroll the city, to shop for Welsh goods, to sip some tea in a quaint shop. After lunch, the afternoon will be spent at the Eastern Leisure Centre (recreation area) with activities of basketball, volleyball, and pingpong with the local Welsh students participating. Dinner is served prior to evening concert. The evening concert will be presented at the Eastern Leisure Centre followed by a Buffet and Disco Dance afterwards.

13 July 9: Cardiff/London, England: Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor Castle
Mon. We begin the journey to London, "the city of the world." On the way, you will visit the city of Bath with its Roman baths, the ancient Stonehenge across the Sarum plain to Windsor Castle. Arrival time in London will be late with a late dinner scheduled.

14 July 10: London, England CONCERT: Barbican Terrace
Tue. After breakfast, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour in morning of this famous city. Some of the sites you will visit are: the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, and more. An lunch-time concert is scheduled at the Barbican Terrace. The afternoon is free for shopping and visiting other sites of interest to you. After dinner, you travel to the Apollo Theatre for "Starlight Express." A night tour of London is planned.

15 July 11: London, England CONCERT: International Flower Show
Wed. After breakfast, you travel to Hampton Court Palace for a concert at the prestigious International Flower Show. After the concert, you will have special permission to enter Hampton Court Palace for a tour. Its time to enjoy independent sightseeing of assigned places and shopping for those last minute items to bring to friends at home along with your memories. Stroll through Lincoln's Inn or Oxford street for shopping or take a cruise up the Thames River to Greenwich. The Farewell Banquet is tonight for saying those last good byes.

16 July 12: London, England/Philadelphia, USA
Thur. This morning you will pack your suitcase for the last time before your journey home. Your motorcoach will transfer you to Heathrow Airport in time for your departure flight. Snaphots and memories will keep your tour alive as you recall the variety of visits to mountains, castles, people, cathedrals, and life as it was lived centuries ago as well as modern Europe today.
